Product Spotlight - Mama's Kisses Salve

Back when The Helpful Homestead wasn't even a concept in my head and Aimee's Homemade was just getting started, I created this lovely little all purpose salve called Mama's Kisses.

Teddy was a little baby and I wanted something on hand in case of diaper rash. We cloth diapered as well so options were limited and being the DIY'er that I am I wanted something I knew was clean, easy to craft, and most importantly, safe for that sensitive baby butt! This salve was also my first foray into creating an herbal product for the skin, and I couldn't be happier with the results. If you know me in person you know this salve never leaves my purse and to this day I'll tell you it's my favorite product in the shop. And you know what? Teddy never had a single diaper rash issue. Coincidence? Maybe... but I like to think it had a lot to do with this awesome salve!

Mama's Kisses keeps it simple with a blend of chamomile, calendula, and comfrey infused into sweet almond oil. I add a little beeswax for texture, pour it into pots, and it's ready to use! There are zero essential oils in this blend so it's safe for even the littlest family members. Over the past 8 years I have used this salve for sooooo many things... diaper balm, bug bite cream, scrape healer, shaving irritation soother, bruise balm... the uses really are endless. Any time your skin is "angry", you need Mama's Kisses. It makes everything better!
